Robert's Ideas Empty Robert's Ideas

Post  Admin Tue May 05, 2009 12:04 pm

Here are some things I remember from our guild meeting(s) and some things I've added myself Smile

DKP:
We will use a dkp system. At this moment it is not exactly sure which.
- Every new member starts of with 50 DKP.
- Every one in the raid gets the same amount of dkp-point per boss (or loot item) that he/she helped with.
- DKP points will be rewarded for every boss that is defeated in a run (alternativly we can reward on loot iso bosses). A frist time boss will be rewarded with double dkp points
- First roll will be for main spec only
- If the items is not rolled for there will be a offspec roll
- Should we have seperate DKP for mains and alts? I think not.
- Should a alt have the same loot rights as a main ?
-- I think not if the alt was subscribed
-- I think if the alt was asked to come (in stead of the main) it should.

DKP "Punishment" (exact numbers to be defined)
For a number of things DKP can be substracted:
- Not showing up for a raid (without a proper reason)
- Being to late for a raid (without a proper reason)
- Not being fully prepared
- Misbehaving in raids

Loot:
Every one higher than the rank of initiate can roll for loot with the following rules:
- One epic per boss (except if nobody want the 2nd epic)
- One tier item per raid (except if nobody want the 2nd tier item)
- Maximum three epics per raid (except etc etc)
- BoE (also green until we have enoug gold) items that are not rolled for will go to the GB
- Should we give priority in gearing up to tanks and healers ?

Preperation:
Every member needs to come to the raid fully prepared:
- Flasks bring flasks for the entire duration of the raid (so 1 for every hour + 1 extra)
- Bring proper food for the entire duration of the raid (1 extra)
- Bring enough reagents for you class
- Specially for new bosses read up on the tactics
- Have the proper addons installed
- Have your gear properly enchanted (we dont expect the best enchant on blue items but your epics should have the best enchant)
- Have your gear properly gemmed (we dont expect the best gems on blue items but your epics should have the best gems)
- Arive in time: be at the raid instance at least 15 mins before the raid starts

Guild bank:
For starters we should at least have 2 slots and a 3rd as soon as possible.
- slot 1 only accecable for officer. For the real good stuff
- slot 2 accesable for members and higher (so closed to initiates)
- slot 3 accesable for every rank

The idea of doing some 10 dailys for one day in a small group and donating the gold to the gb is a very good idea.

Guild ranks:
Just an idea, up to the GM to implement this:
1 Guild Master, there is only one guild master and his/here name is ...
2 Officers, the officers of the guild. Have the same rights as the GM
3 Officer Alts, Basically the same as officers, Just to differentiate between main and alt
4 Raiders, Long time members that have proven themself in raids and can and will raid at least 2 times (for instance) per week
5 Members, Newer members of the guild who still have to prove them self or people who cant or wont raid at least 2 times per week
6 Alts, Every body's alt (except for officers and GM)
7 Initiate, The new recruits
8 Spare, whatever we need it for.

Other rules.
Be mature (so over 18 or 21 ?)
It's ok to have fun in a raid but behave during boss-fight, tactics and loot handling.
Pugging: If a raid was planned an you're in it, you shall not pug. If you are not selected for an instance this week (raids are scheduled way ahead) you are of course allowed to pug it.

During raids:
- I think we need to have at least 2 raid leaders (I offer myself to be one) that switch roles. So we can easily do 2 runs or if one of them cannot come we always have a spare
- We will also need a Master Looter who perferably is not the same person as the raid leader.
- One (at least) person (officer) per raid needs to run the DKP tool
- Would be nice to have regular WWS report.

Officer/GM roles:
Some ideas we had about officers:
- We will need class leaders, which should be either officers/GM or perhaps Raiders (or make an extra Captain rank for this ??)
- As long as we dont find a proper person for a class' leader an other similar class leader will take the role (e.g. the paladin class leader can act as shaman class leader temporarily) Or have for instace a healer class leader, a ranged class leader, a melee class leader and a tank class leader.
- Special ops:
-- Recruitement officer, responsible for recruiting the right people for the guild (althouhg this is a bit the responsibility for all officers)
-- Bank cleaning lady Smile Dont overflow the guild bank
-- DPK officer, responsible for keeping the dkp system up and running. (I'll do this if you want)
-- Raid planning officer, responsible for planning the propper raids
- I think we should have regular officer meetings (once a month or so) and guild meetings (in game)once every 3 months or so.

Class leader:
- Inspect the new application for their class. And, for instance, have a word with them befor they are recruited.
- Keep track of the progress (or lack of it) of their class members.
- Lead their class members in a raid (like setting up healing)
- Answer any question your class members ask

TO DO List:
- Get a basic forum up and running
- Think of a nice guild manifest and a set of guild rules. (I'll do this if you want)
- Who is going to be which officer
- Get the recruitement section done
- Think of an in game and out game recruitement message
- Make somekind of guild roadmap

Roadmap:
1 - Get enough people in the guild to have a good 10 man team
- 2 tanks, 3 healers, 5 DPS
- we should have some spares (1 tank, 1 healer and 2 dps ?) which will swap raids
2 - Get some more people to start a second 10 man group
- 2 tanks, 3 healers, 5 DPS
3 - Get some extra people to make the 2 groups into 1 25 man group
- 3 tanks, 6 healers, 16 DPS (???)

You might think we have a tanking problem: I think we can solve this by having 2 main tanks and off tanks.
Main tanks will always tank an instance (both 10 and 25 man)
Off tanks can be asked to switch to their second spec. We have to think of something to get their 2nd spec items geared up.
We might have to do the same if we have to many healers

Forum:
I'm not the one setting up the forum but there are some threads i'd like to see.
- Public
- Recruitement (could be in public)
- Members Only
-- Members Chat
-- Class forums
-- Raid forums
- Officers

Recruitement:
I'm not the rectuitement officer but some thoughts:
- please have a strict age limit
- invite only the classes we need (or will need in the near future). So try to get some 4/5 tanks 7/8 healers +/- 20 DPS. And also keep in mind the classes of the tanks/healers/DPS

Questions:
- should we recruit only lvl 80's or 75+ or every one ?
- should we recruit people who want to raid only or also people who join for the social aspect
